Having decided to retire early in 2018, I have decided to establish the online “Car Importers Club” to share my vast experience over many years, of importing motor vehicles from Japan to New Zealand. To suplement the income I receive from our government pension, I will take a fee for those wanting to take the plunge, and import their own car. Apart from this fee, and a portion of the agents fees in Japan, Car Importers Club members pay the fees as invoiced from the Japanese car export company; there is no surcharge added.

It's not all beer and skittles. There are risks in this type of business that can impact negatively on the process, despite every effort to eliminate problematic factors. That said, there are thousands of importers who have made a handsome living trading in Japanese used motor vehicles. Every single one of these importers will have lost money on vehicles from time to time, that is par for the course. There is an upside, however, and that is the vast majority of cars that successful vehicle traders have imported have paid them good dividends, allowing them to run profitable enterprises.
It would be unfortunate for first time importers to have a bad experience on their first try. Should the worst happen first time round, it will be a test of fortitude for the club member concerned to try again. We would encourage a second try, because it would be most unusual to have a bad experience twice in a row. Fortune favours the brave, most importing experiences will be both enjoyable and profitable.
